With more than 100,000 ballots left to be counted, the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters office released an update of election results Thursday afternoon. There have been no changes in the winners from the previous update last Friday, although some races are extremely close; only 10 votes separate winner Mike Reynolds from challenger Paul Coate in the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency, and 12 votes separate winner John Cole from challenger Karmolette O’Gilvie. In its latest update, the County Registrar also announced that 104,700 ballots have not yet been counted, including provisional and mail-in ballots; mail-in ballots without a voter signature or those for which the signatures need further review; damaged ballots; and conditional voter registration applications. It’s unknown how many of those ballots are for races in the Morongo Basin.
