LAST WEEKEND’S REACH-OUT PARADE OF HOMES A BIG SUCCESS

Sunday’s cold and windy day didn’t stop people from touring the five homes in Reach Out Morongo Basin’s Parade of Homes fundraiser. Managing editor Tami Roleff says the annual event was a great success…

More than 200 people—some from as far away as Toronto, Canada, Massachusetts, North Dakota, New York, and Washington, D.C., as well as all over southern California—toured the five houses for Reach Out Morongo Basin’s 15th annual Parade of Homes. Organizers raised more than $6,800 in cash and sponsorships, and called the event a great success. Executive Director Robin Schlosser said the visitors appreciated having an extra hour to tour the homes in Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, and Twentynine Palms. Proceeds from the Parade of Homes funds programs such as transportation to doctors’ appointments and shopping, pickup and delivery of prescriptions, and minor home repair and yard work assistance for seniors and the disabled.
