This is the last weekend to see the epic musical “Ragtime” at Theatre 29. Limited overflow seating is available for the sold-out performances. Reporter Chanda-Lyn Fraschetti says the show is enjoying raves…
Time is running out to see “Ragtime” at Theatre 29. The musical, directed by Charles Harvey, has been met with rave reviews from audiences across the Morongo Basin. From the moment the lights come on and music begins, you are transported New York City in the early 1900’s with realistic costumes and simple stage design keeping the focus on the story. Featuring moving performances from Jennifer Paulk, Horace Miller, Leonard Weber, and a supporting cast of 30 Morongo Basin talents, “Ragtime” creates a tornado of emotions carrying the audience through the good and sometimes ugly story of how America got its start. Ranging from bigotry to social status, the audience is taught the important lesson of tolerance. The musical runs weekends through June 1. Performances are selling out fast, so don’t miss out.
