“Little Shop of Horrors” is set in Mr. Mushnik’s failing little flower shop in New York City. The clumsy shop clerk Seymore falls for the bleached-blonde receptionist Audrey who happens to be dating a sadistic dentist. Throw in a trio of doo-op singers and a giant, mutant, flesh-eating plant and you’ve got the perfect recipe for some family entertainment befitting the season. The cast includes veteran favorites as well as talented newcomers to the Theatre 29 stage. Final performances are this Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and this Sunday at 2:30 p.m. tickets are $10 to $15 when you visit theatre29.org or call the Theatre 29 Box Office at 760-361-4151.
“Little Shop of Horrors” will pack up the plant, cast and crew and take the production to the Barstow Performing Arts Center next weekend. So be sure to catch the final shows here in town before it goes on tour.
