On Saturday, February 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Artist and painter Marilyn Froggatt will give a short presentation followed by a painting demonstration. After the demonstration, there will be time to start your landscape painting. Marilyn will assist beginners with a few extra minutes during the studio portion of class to explain color mixing. Bring a sack lunch. Class size is limited to 15, so register early. Fees are $30 for non-members and $25 for members.
Supplies/Materials List:
Students should bring their materials. Please contact the Gallery at [email protected] if you need assistance with supplies.
- 8 x 10, 11 x 14 or 12 x 16 canvas or board panel, or watercolor paper.
- Your choice of paints, oils, acrylics, or watercolor
- Basic colors required: Warm and cool red, warm and cool blue, warm and cool yellow, white and black. Bring any other colors.
- Brushes: #4, 6, 8 & 10 flats. Or your choice of brushes you may prefer.
- Palette can be your choice; even a paper plate works!
- Sketching paper or sketchbook for the thumbnail sketch.
- Drawing pencils and eraser
- Gloves & apron
- You may bring your Plein air easel and Plein air set-up.
The class is age-appropriate for Adults & Teens, andsome scholarships are available for teens.
