A Landers woman was arrested late Saturday night after her neighbor said she threatened to kill her. Deputies were called to the 57500 block of Pine Street in Landers about 11 p.m. by a resident who said that Karen Schoenen, 61, was outside the gate. The resident said Schoenen was yelling and screaming that she was going to kill the victim and two small children who lived at the home, and feed them to her dogs. Karen Schoenen was arrested for investigation of making criminal threats, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $50,000.
