LANDERS WATER TANK SHOT

Vandals took target practice on a water storage tank in Landers Saturday. According to a Sheriff’s report, an employee for the county Water S Division was sent to a water tank near Yucca Mesa Road and Napa Road about 1 p.m. When the employee arrived, he found water shooting out of 2-inch by 3-inch hole in the southwest side of a 500,000 gallon water tank. The deputy determined that the hole had been made by a bullet. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
