LANDERS TRASH AND TIRE CLEANUP THIS SATURDAY

If you’re bothered by a neighborhood eyesore, illegal tire dump, or your own accumulated junk and you live in one of Morongo Basin’s unincorporated communities, you can take advantage of free trash and tire disposal this Saturday, February 27. Here’s reporter Mike Lipsitz with details…

The big Trash and Tire Cleanup is set for this Saturday, February 27 from 8 a.m. to noon at Homestead Valley Park in Landers. Residents of Landers, Flamingo Heights, Yucca Mesa, Joshua Tree, and surrounding unincorporated areas are invited to gather up tires and desert debris cluttering our communities and dispose of it free, but those wishing to so are strongly encouraged to make an appointment in advance. Call County Code Enforcement by this Friday at 909-520-2689 with questions or to arrange drop off. Face masks and social distancing will be required at this event. Hazardous, commercial, industrial and e-waste will not be accepted. Please do not dump tires at Homestead Valley Park in advance of this event.
