LANDERS POST OFFICE – 60TH ANNIVERSARY FUNDRAISER EVENT

Tomorrow there will be an open house and fundraiser at the Morongo Basin Historical Society in celebration of the history of the Morongo Basin and the 60th anniversary of the Landers Post office. Hilary Sloane will tell you all about the festivities…

At High Noon, on March 19, Flag officer and National Park Service Equestrian Ranger, Ms. Kaja Baum will bring the historic flag to the Landers post office on horseback. The event includes a visit to the museum in Newlin & Vernette’s home, the Mohave Mercantile exhibit, and a 1957 Jackrabbit Homestead Cabin. Additionally, local history books will be for sale. The Morongo Basin Historical Society is located at 632 Landers Lane in Landers and the open house is from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.,
