LANDERS MEN ATTACK MAN, HE TURNS TABLES AND STABS THEM

A man who was lured out of his mother’s home to be beat up turned the tables on his assailants and stabbed them in Landers Thursday morning. According to the victim, who was identified only as being from Los Angeles, he was visiting his mother in Landers when they came upon an RV that was blocking Reche Road on Wednesday. The man told Z1077 News that he asked the RV driver to move the vehicle so his car could pass, when the 60-year-old driver and his 21-year-old son threatened both him and his mother. The victim said he started recording the confrontation, and then called the Sheriff’s department to report the threats. The victim claims that the responding deputy refused to investigate the threats. The next day, Thursday, the victim said the father and son came to his mother’s house in the 60000 block of Reche Road about 10:40 a.m. and asked him to come outside, and when he did, they stabbed him in the face with an 8-inch knife, hit him with a billy club, and put him in a choke hold, causing him to nearly lose consciousness. During the fight, the victim said he managed to get a hold of their knife and stabbed his assailants. The victim told Z107.7 that he was certain if he had blacked out, he would have been killed. The son, who had multiple stab wounds to his face, lip, tongue, and hands, was flown to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs; the father, who also had multiple stab wounds, and the victim were taken by ambulance to Desert Hospital.
