LANDERS MAN WITH FELONY WARRANT ACCUSED OF RESISTING ARREST AFTER FLEEING FROM DEPUTIES

A landers man was arrested Thursday (September 2) accused of resisting arrest after fleeing from deputies. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies went to the 61600 block of Leslie Lane in Landers to arrest Bernard McFadden, 37, who had a $200,000 felony warrant for vandalism. McFadden fled when he saw Deputies approaching, leading them on a short foot pursuit. McFadden began fighting Deputies as they attempted to detain him, prompting Deputies to use force. Bernard McFadden was taken to Hi Desert Medical Center for a medical check before being arrested for investigation of resisting arrest and on his warrant. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
