LANDERS MAN TRESPASSES IN A HOME, TWICE IN ONE DAY

A Landers man was arrested Friday, May 22, after he violated a restraining order and was found in someone else’s home—twice in the same day. About 2 p.m., deputies were called to the 200 block of Fair Acres Road in Landers by the resident who said that Matthew White, 25, had walked into the front door of the home without permission. The resident told White he was not allowed to be there and he had to leave. White refused to leave until the landlord said she was calling law enforcement, at which time White yelled until she agreed to drive him to a gas station about seven miles away. White then caught a ride from an unknown person who drove him back to the home. The residence was locked, so White climbed through the window and was in the woman’s bed where he was found. Matthew White was arrested for trespassing and violating the terms of a restraining order, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $25,000.
