LANDERS MAN RAMS ANOTHER VEHICLE, ACCUSED OF ASSAULT

A Landers man was arrested Thursday, accused of ramming another man’s vehicle. Deputies say that Steve Mixco, 32, was in an argument with another man at a home on Valley Vista in Yucca Valley at 5 p.m. Mixco left the home, and then waited down the street in his vehicle for the resident to leave. When the man left, Mixco followed him and then rammed his vehicle into the other man’s vehicle near Yucca Trail and Palomar Avenue in Yucca Valley. A Sheriff’s report states that Mixco’s vehicle was disabled by the time deputies arrived. Steve Mixco was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $25,000.
