LANDERS MAN FOUND WITH A STOLEN VEHICLE

A Landers man was arrested Monday after he was found with a stolen off-road vehicle. About 12:30 p.m. Monday, a deputy went on a probation compliance check at a home in the 700 block of North Poland Lane in Landers and contacted David Watson, 54, and several other people. The deputy made a records check of a 2006 Suzuki quad and discovered it had been reported stolen. Watson allegedly told the deputy that someone else had given him the quad for him to work on, and that he realized it had probably been stolen. While there was no key to the vehicle, the deputy saw its tire tracks all over the property. David Watson was arrested for investigation of possession of stolen property, booked at the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
