Landers man arrested for warrants in Riverside County and allegedly kicking officer

After allegedly reporting a break-in at a property he lied about owning in Landers, a man was arrested for investigation into kicking a deputy in the face.

On Sunday (January 25) at around 3:30 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies received a call about an RV that was being broken into on a driveway on the 58200 block of Reche Road in Landers. Deputies say that Jason Burright, 30, was the initial caller and allegedly claimed that someone was attempting to break into his RV on his property that he recently purchased. When deputies arrived they contacted Burright across the street from the RV, and found that he was not the owner of the property or the RV and had two outstanding warrants in Riverside County. Law enforcement says that while being apprehended Burright allegedly kicked the attending deputy in the face and chest. The deputy was seen by medical personnel.

Jason Burright was arrested for obstructing and resisting an executive officer. He is currently held on $30,000 bail.
