A Landers man was arrested, accused of driving under the influence. About 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at Paxton Road and Balsa Avenue in Yucca Valley. Nathan Salazar, 28, was the driver of one of the vehicles. Deputies conducted a field sobriety test and determined that Salazar was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Nathan Salazar was arrested for violating his parole and for investigation of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail and is being held with no bail.
