LANDERS MAN ARRESTED AFTER NEARLY HITTING BICYCLIST

A Landers man was arrested Friday after he nearly hit a bicyclist with his vehicle. According to a Sheriff’s report, Felix Hernandez, 57, was traveling northbound on Yucca Mesa Avenue about 12:45 p.m. when he nearly hit a bicyclist when passing. The report states Hernandez has a suspended driver’s license and was drinking a beer while driving. Felix Hernandez was arrested on his $50,000 felony warrant for cultivating marijuana, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, cited, and released.
