LANDERS MAN ARRESTED AFTER DRUGS, WEAPONS, FOUND IN A TRAFFIC STOP

A Landers man was arrested late Monday night, accused of transporting drugs. About 11:20 Monday night, Deputy Zachary Carlos stopped a silver-colored van near Belfield Boulevard and Botkin Road in Landers for having an expired registration and not having a license lamp. Driving the van was Timothy Baker, 37. During the investigation, Carlos discovered that Baker had in his possession methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, a digital scale, a handgun, and cash. Timothy Baker was arrested on suspicion of transportation of a controlled substance, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
