LANDERS MAN ACCUSED OF THREATENING A WITNESS IN MORONGO VALLEY

A Landers man was arrested Sunday night, accused of intimidating a witness. According to a Sheriff’s report, the victim was with his son at a softball game in Covington Park in Morongo Valley when he was approached by Joshua Quintana, 31. The man told deputies that Quintana threatened him and his wife with physical harm, and believed that Quintana was trying to prevent him from testifying against Quintana in court Monday. Quintana told the deputies he only swore at the man and didn’t threaten him. Joshua Quintana was arrested for investigation of intimidating a witness, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $100,000.
