LANDERS MAN ACCUSED OF STEALING TWO DOGS FROM YUCCA VALLEY ANIMAL SHELTER

A Landers man was arrested Friday (September 3) accused of breaking into the Yucca Valley Animal shelter and stealing two dogs. According to Sheriff’s reports, the Yucca Valley Multiple enforcement Team conducted a follow-up investigation regarding a burglary at the Yucca Valley Animal Shelter. During the investigation, deputies contacted Russell Castodio, 58 of Landers in the 900 block of Trail Street in Landers. During the investigation, deputies discovered the two stolen dogs at the property. Russell Castodio was arrested for investigation of being in possession of stolen property and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail.
