LANDERS MAN ACCUSED OF STABBING TIRES AT HOME DEPOT

A Landers man was arrested Wednesday morning, accused of stabbing tires. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the Yucca Valley Home Depot about 10:30 a.m. for a report of a fight. Witnesses said a man, later identified as Paul Maki, 40, was stabbing tires in the parking lot, and bystanders attempted to hold him down until deputies arrived. After an investigation, Paul Maki was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
