A Landers man was arrested Saturday, accused of sexual abuse of a minor girl. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 58000 block of Margarita Street in Landers about 9:15 p.m. Saturday for an unknown disturbance. While at the scene, deputies discovered ongoing sexual abuse of a girl. The victim told deputies that Kyle Hammons, 21, had sexually assaulted her on many occasions over the last several years, starting when she was 11 years old and continuing to the present day. Kyle Hammons was arrested for investigation of lewd acts with a minor and rape and was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $250,000.
