LANDERS MAN ACCUSED OF HAVING EXPIRED VEHICLE REGISTRATION TABS

A Landers man was arrested Tuesday morning, accused of having expired registration tabs on his Jeep Cherokee. About 6:40 a.m., Michael Garcia, 35, was stopped near Avalon and Drexel Roads in Yucca Valley. The deputy determined that the registration tabs on the vehicle had expired in 2012, and that Garcia had a suspended driver’s license. Michael Garcia was arrested for investigation of vehicle registration fraud, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000.
