LANDERS MAN ACCUSED OF FELONY VANDALISM

A Landers man was arrested Wednesday (April 21), accused of felony vandalism. According to Sheriff’s records, deputies responded to the 61600 block of Leslie Lane in Landers around 11:30 a.m. for a report of vandalism. The victim told deputies that his girlfriend’s son, later identified as Bernard McFadden, 37, of Landers, “had gone crazy” and was breaking the windshield of his vehicle and denting it. The victim also reported McFadden threw something at his dog, cutting the dog’s nose. Arriving deputies found McFadden out front of the property throwing rocks. Bernard McFadden was arrested for investigation of felony vandalism and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $25,000.
