A Landers man was arrested late Friday night, accused of burglarizing a home. The residents called deputies after they arrived at their house in the 58800 block of Phillipi Lane in Landers just before midnight and saw lights on inside the home, as well as a car parked in the driveway that they did not recognize. Deputies located James Turner Jr., 36, inside the home, and determined the residents did not know him. A records check found that Turner is on parole for assault with a firearm. Deputies searched Turner’s car in the driveway and found property belonging to the victim. James Turner was arrested for investigation of burglary and booked at the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $75,000.
