A Landers man was arrested Tuesday (February 16), accused of assault. A Sheriff’s report says a woman called her mother about 3:30 p.m. and asked her to call police. When deputies arrived that the 4600 block of Roadrunner Road in Yucca Valley, the victim said James Nelson, 27, had assaulted her. James Nelson was arrested for investigation of assault, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
