LANDERS FLEA BY NIGHT GIVES WAY TO LIGHT

A wise man once said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.” And although Landers First Saturday Flea Market was not the subject of that quote, it applies nevertheless. Reporter Mike Lipsitz is here to tell us how the monthly Flea By Night event gives way this Saturday to a daylight affair…

Think daytime rock-n-roll, Martha’s fry bread and breakfast burritos, holiday items, homemade and handcrafted treasures—there’s something for everyone when Landers First Saturday Flea Market returns to Homestead Valley Park beginning at 9 a.m. and all day until 2 p.m. Judith Lynn Laffoon and Aaron “Brother Bear” Bender host the best daytime, tailgate, hoedown in Homestead Valley the first Saturday of every month. Landers Thrift Shoppe will be there with a plethora of afghans, color-matched hangers (25 cents for 10!), Buck-a-Bag Books, roasting pans, and more. Homestead Valley Park on Belfield Boulevard with access from Reche or Linn Roads in Landers. Parking is free.
