Landers resident helped foil a burglary of his neighbor’s home Wednesday, and three people were arrested. The owner of the home in the 1200 block of Gibraltar Road called deputies just before noon Wednesday to say that his neighbor had called him to tell him a U-Haul truck was in his driveway. When deputies arrived to make a security check of the home, they found the U-Haul truck on the property and signs that the home had been burglarized. No one was at the location, but evidence at the scene led deputies to a home in the 1300 block of Goat Mountain Road where they found Regina Duran, 41, Sean Schoolcraft, 25, and Richard Winters, 26, all of Landers. Deputies found some of the stolen property at the Goat Mountain home, and after serving a search warrant, they found more stolen property from the burglarized home. Regina Duran and Sean Schoolcraft were arrested for investigation of burglary, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with their bail set at $75,000 each. Richard Winters was arrested for several outstanding warrants, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
