LANDERS AND YUCCA VALLEY MEN ACCUSED OF DRUG SALES IN TWO INCIDENTS

Deputies serving a search warrant on a house in Yucca Valley Tuesday morning arrested a man accused of being a drug dealer. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies and probation officers served a search warrant on a home in the 56500 block of El Dorado Avenue about 11 a.m. In the home, deputies found Bruce Johnson, 30, and Kerry Steward, 28, along with a large amount of methamphetamine, heroin, cash, and scales. Bruce Johnson was arrested for investigation of possession of a controlled substance for sales, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $100,000. Kerry Steward was arrested on a no-bail arrest warrant for felony spouse abuse and booked into the West Valley Detention Center.

A Landers man was arrested early Tuesday morning after he was found with drugs. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy made a parole compliance check at the home of Ronnie Salazar, 30, in the 56100 block of Sun Terrace Drive in Landers about 2 a.m. During the check, the deputy found methamphetamine and heroin under Salazar’s vehicle. Ronnie Salazar was arrested for investigation of possession of a controlled substance for sales, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $100,000.
