The County Local Agency Formation Commission has appointed Johnson Valley resident Jim Harvey to serve as Alternate Public Member to fill an unexpired term of office through May 2024. Harvey is currently a Johnson Valley delegate to the Homestead Valley Community Council and currently serving as president. He was one of nine delegates on the Morongo Basin Municipal Advisory Council, is a trustee of the Lucerne Valley Unified School District, and is the County Sheriffs Citizen of the Year.
