The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats volleyball team hosted the Eagles from Desert Hot Springs last night (September 21). The JV team started off strong in the first set, dropped the second set but finished the third set with a strong win of 15-3. Anisa Youso had 2 kills and 9 ace serves. Carolyn Morning also served up 9 ace serves.
The Varsity team swept in three, 25-4, 25-16 and 25-15. The Ladycats had 27 kills with Junior Kyla Palpallatoc and Senior Gabby Wunderlee leading at the net with 7 kills each. Sophomore Lindie Stewart had 6 kills for the night and served up 7 aces. Sophomore setter Jenica Silvas had 4 kills, 5 ace serves and 20 assists. This win brings the cats to 5-3 in league and host the Rajahs from Indio on Monday the 26th.
