Ladycats Volleyball go 3-3 in season after victory over Rancho Mirage

The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycat volleyball teams took on the Rattlers of Rancho Mirage last night (August 29). 

The JV team secured their first win in 2 sets, 25-12 and 25-19. Hailey Stephenson had 2 ace serves, 2 kills and 4 assists. Emma Avalos served up 3 aces and had 5 assists. Lily Romero had 2 ace served and 3 kills. Madison Critchfield had 3 aces and Shannon Flin had 3 kills.

In varsity action, the cats won in 4 sets; 13-25, 25-21, 25-12, amnd 25-13. Senior Jenica Silvas was big at the net with 9 kills, 4 aces, 4 assists and 11 digs for the night. Sophomore Vivian Grunt had 4 kills, 2 ace serves and 11 digs. Freshman Eva Tili had 4 kills, 1 ace, 1 dig, 1 big solo block and 1 block assist. Senior Violet Tucker had 2 kills, 2 aces, 8 digs and 2 assists. Junior Cambria Schneider played solid defense with 10 digs and had 1 assist. Sophomore Berlyn McCormick was soild in the back row with 1 ace, 3 assists and 17 digs. Junior Haylie Rodriquez was solid in the back with 7 digs. 

The cats are now 3-3 overall in the season.
