Ladycats Volleyball come up short against Cathedral City despite solid plays and digs

The Twentynine Palms Ladycats volleyball teams traveled to Lions territory last night in Cathedral City. The JV team fought hard but came up short for the win.

In varsity action, the cats won in 3, 25-22, 25-16, and 25-22. Senior Jenica Silvas put down 10 kills, served up four aces and played solid back row with 15 digs. Senior Violet Tucker had 6 kills, 3 digs and 1 ace serve. 

Freshman Eva Tili had 5 kills and 2 solo blocks! Sophomore Berlyn McCormick had 4 kills, 2 ace serves and 8 digs for the night. Sophomore Seniyah Hawkins had 3 kills, 3 digs and 5 ace serves. Senior Jayde James had 6 digs and 1 kill. Junior Cambria Schneider 1 kill and 5 digs. Junior Libero Haylie Rodriquez played solid back row with 7 digs. 

The Ladycats are now 2-3 and take on Rancho Mirage at home on Tomorrow (August 29). Come support your Ladycats and then head on down to the football field for the Cats’ first home football game!
