LADYCAT VOLLEYBALL TEAM TAKES FIRST IN INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT

The Twentynine Palms High School varsity volleyball team traveled to Desert Mirage for the Salton Sea Invitational. Coach Melissa McGivern said the Ladycats took first place in the Silver division.

Sophomore Mya Chacon led the team with 17 kills earning herself MVP for the cats.

Senior Jhordan Stanley had 16 kills and five blocks. Senior Riley King had one ace serve, 13 kills, three assists, and four solo blocks. Junior Journey Platzke also had 13 kills, six aces, 20 assists, two blocks, and held her own on the court; earning herself honorable mention for MVP. Senior Amanda Mohn had 10 kills, 34 assists and four blocks, also receiving honorable mention. Sophomore Gianna Bildrain had three ace serves and four kills. Sophomore Sadi Rantzow had one ace serve and two kills. Bella Salcido served it up for the Lady cats. Cassandra Walti, Alana Gutierrez, and Hailee Jenkins played strong back row defense for the day.
