The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats volleyball team traveled to Santa Rosa Academy High School on Tuesday night to take on the Rangers in the wildcard round of playoffs. The Cats won in 4; 25-23, 19-25, 25-23, 25-15.
Coach Melissa McGivern said Alana Gutierrez held down the back row along with Cassandra Walti who had 23 digs. Amanda Mohn played outstanding defense with 16 digs, one block assist and then had eight assists. Gianna Bilderain had one ace serve, one kill, six digs, and one assist. Mya Chacon served up three aces, had four kills, and 13 digs. Riley King had one ace, six kills, one dig, two assists, one assisted block and two solo blocks. Journey Platzke had two ace serves, six kills, eight digs, and eight assists. Jhordan Stanley had one ace serve, seven kills, five digs, and one assist for the night. The lady cats head to Big Bear on Thursday for the first round.
