LADYCAT SOFTBALL 4-1 IN WEEKEND TOURNAMENT

The Twentynine Palms High School Lady Wildcats softball team was on the road again this past weekend. The Ladycats traveled to Needles for the 14th Annual Colorado River Invitational and came home with four wins and one loss.

Thursday started off with wins over Williams, AZ, 3-1; and Boulder City, NV, 3-2.

Friday started with a tough loss to Palo Verde Valley 5-6, and an afternoon win over Big Bear 5-3.

On Saturday the Lady cats played the host team Needles High school and won their 4th game 15-4.

Katie Steffins went 3-1 on the mound with 16 strikeouts and four walks.
Tori Emhoff pitched six innings, beating Boulder City, NV, and had 11 strikeouts and two walks.
Ashley Emhoff finished catching her 13th straight game with 59 putouts and only one error.
May Chacon went 5-for-10 and six walks
Madison Carpenter went 6-for-11 with four walks
Katie Steffens went 5-for-10 with an-over-the-fence home run.
Gianna Bilderain went 4-for-7 and four walks.

This weekend ended the pre-season for the Wildcats with a 9-3-1 record all the road.
The Lady Cats start league play Tuesday March 10 against Banning.
