The Yucca Valley Lady Trojan varsity basketball team traveled to Indio last night and came away with a 57-34 win over the Rajahs.
Coach Michael Usher said sophomore Sara Mills led the team with a season-high 28 points. She was followed by senior Angie Reutgen who knocked in 17 points and sophomore Loryn Brimhall who added six points.
With the victory, the Yucca Valley girls moved their Desert Valley League record to 2-1 and overall record to 4-4. Next up is their home opener versus Desert Hot Springs on Thursday. Tip time is 6 p.m. with junior varsity starting at 4:30 p.m. in Trojan Gym.
