LADY TROJANS BEAT GLENDORA SATURDAY

The Yucca Valley Lady Trojan basketball team traveled to Claremont to face Duarte High School in the Glendora One-Day Shootout on Saturday and came home with a 64-34 win.

Coach Jess Geeson said sophomore Sara Mills sparked the team with a game-high 26 points. Senior Angie Reutgen had a solid game with 11 points and nine rebounds. Sophomore Loryn Brimhall added eight points while freshman Lili Rodriguez chipped in seven points and four assists off of the bench. 

The win upped the girls’ record to 15-9 overall. Senior Night is next on the schedule Tuesday when the team hosts Desert Mirage. Junior varsity tips off at 4:30 p.m. and the varsity game starts at 6 p.m. The team will honor its four seniors at halftime.
