LADY TROJANS BEAT DESERT MIRAGE ON SENIOR NIGHT

On a night when the Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojan basketball team honored its four seniors, the team notched a 59-29 Desert Valley League win over Desert Mirage last night in Trojan Gym.

Coach Jess Geeson said seniors Zoe Beers, Kehaulani Stoneburner, Angie Reutgen and Destiny Lesley were honored at half time as the Yucca Valley girls raced out to a 33-11 lead at the break.

Sophomore Sara Mills topped the scoring with 17 points while Reutgen tabbed 15 points. Sophomore Loryn Brimhall added eight points while juniors Coy Smith and Makayla Geeson each kicked in five points.

The win left the squad with a 9-4 league record and a 16-9 overall mark with the regular season finale Thursday at Twentynine Palms High School. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. CIF playoffs begin next Thursday for the team.
