In girls’ soccer, Yucca Valley High School varsity beat Banning 3-0.
Goals were scored by Haley McGinnis, Nicole Powell, Jade Arnhold, with assists by Nicole Powell.
Junior varsity won, 10-0.
Goals were scored by Amanda Cruz, Brooklynn Dougherty (2), Eden Ricketts (2), Leslie Rogel, Skye Hansen (2), Sarah Krenelka, Nicole Godoy. Assists were made by Evelyn Villava, Sarah Krenelka, Nicole Godoy, and Giselle Medina.
Coach Jolene Pessa commended both teams for stepping up and playing both games in the rain this evening. “I also want to thank our family and friends that came out to support the team in such conditions. It was cold and wet, but that did not get us down. The girls had great attitudes and were eager to play.”
