The Yucca Valley Lady Trojan basketball team struggled through a tough shooting night but still had enough in the tank to come home with a 32-17 victory at Desert Mirage High School last night in Thermal.
Coach Jess Geeson said the team was led by junior Sara Mills with a game-high 15 points. She was followed by senior Coy Smith with eight points and freshman Malia Ulery with four points. The Yucca Valley girls pushed their overall record to 9-2 and their Desert Valley League record to 3-0. The girls will face Coachella Valley High School Friday night in Trojan Gym. Tip off is set for 6 p.m.
