The Yucca Valley Lady Trojans volleyball team hosted the JW North Huskies in their first round of CIF Southern Section finals last night. Coach Darrell Sterling said varsity won against the Huskies in four sets (25-19, 20-25, 25-13, 25-22) in their first round of CIF. He said he was “proud of how they played against a well-prepared opponent. It was a tough match in which the girls pulled together and played through the ups and downs.” The Lady Trojans look forward to their next round of CIF against Gladstone this Saturday October 20. It will be another home game hosted at the YVHS gym at 6 p.m.
