LADY TROJAN VOLLEYBALL TEAM LOSES TO BANNING

The Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojan varsity volleyball team dropped another five-game match on the road to Banning High School Tuesday night with a score of 25-19, 25-20, 20-25, 18-25, 14-16. The girls won the first two sets, but then lost the next three. They are now 3-6 in league play.

The offense was led by outside hitters Loryn Brimhall with six kills; Stacie Alexander with five, and setter Annie Hilderbrand had four kills and 30 assists.

Defense was led by libero Ella Villamero with a season high 36 digs. Loryn Brimhall also contributed 32 digs on the night. Katie Alexander pitched in a respectable 17 digs.

Loryn Brimhall contributed six aces from the serving line and Evalynn Large had three.

The Lady Trojans will face Indio at home on Thursday at 4:30.
