LADY TROJAN SOCCER TEAM DEFEATS TWENTYNINE PALMS

Yucca Valley High School Girls soccer had a big home win over Twentynine Palms yesterday, 8-0.

The Yucca Valley High School girls’ soccer team holds the Elks Cup for one more year.

Prior to the game, the team honored and bid a farewell to seniors McKenna Larson, Rachelle Henriquez and Haley McGinness. Coach Jolene Pessa said, “These girls have been a true asset to this team and will be missed greatly.”

Goals were scored by Rylee Nutter, who made her third hat trick this season with four goals. Macey DeCicco, Haley McGinness, McKenna Larson, and Haley Jackson each scored one goal.  

Assists were made by Rylee Nutter (two assists), and Haley McGinness and  McKenna Larson each had one assist.

The Lady Trojan’s final game will be held at Indio High School on Thursday, February 6. Junior varsity will play at 3:15 and varsity will follow at 5 p.m.
