The Yucca Valley Lady Trojan basketball team rebounded from its first loss of the season with a strong effort, dispatching the Elsinore Tigers 58-12 in a second round game at the Mustang Tip Off tournament at West Valley High School.
Junior guard Sara Mills and freshman guard Malia Ulery paced the Lady Trojans with 13 points each. Sophomore Chloe McNellie had a strong game with 11 points and six assists, while sophomore Alanna Brady added seven points off of the bench. The win moved the team’s record to 5-1 on the season with a third round tournament game Thursday night against Orange Vista High School at 7:30 p.m.
