The Yucca Valley Lady Trojan basketball team returned home Wednesday night and cruised to a 77-19 Desert Valley League victory over the Desert Mirage Rams in Trojan Gym.
Coach Jess Geeson said junior Sara Mills led the team with a game high 24 points; she also nabbed five steals. Sophomore Chloe McNellie continued her solid play netting 12 points, grabbing six rebounds and collecting four steals. Junior Meagan Lowe hit double figures, scoring 10 points and pulled down five rebounds. Freshman Malia Ulery and sophomore Alanna Brady each added nine points. Senior Coy Smith contributed eight points and eight rebounds.
With the win, the Yucca girls stayed on top of the Desert Valley League standings with a 9-0 record and improved their overall mark to 19-3.
The girls next host Cathedral City Friday in Trojan Gym. Tip off is set for 6 p.m.
