The Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojan varsity basketball team returned to the court Wednesday (January 19) afternoon and blew past Desert Mirage High School by a 86-5 score to move their Desert Valley League record to 7-0 on the season.
Junior Malia Ulery led the charge pumping in 24 points, she was followed by junior Jaylie Schreiber’s career-high 18 points. Sophomore Cadence Tarrant continued to put up big numbers notching 17 points. Junior Ashley Lowe scored 11 points while seniors Maliah Rodriguez and Heather Hiday hit for 9 and 7 points respectively.
The CIF Division 3AA #9 ranked Lady Trojans improved their overall record to 13-3 with a Friday (January 21) home game against Cathedral City next on the schedule. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
