LADY TROJAN BASKETBALL ENDS TOURNAMENT 2-2

The Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojan basketball team finished off the West Valley High School Mustang Tip-Off tournament Friday night with 53-46 win over the Temescal Canyon Titans, finishing the week-long tournament with a 2-2 record. 
Coach Jess Geeson said junior Sara Mills had another strong effort, notching 20 points, while sophomore Chloe McNellie finished the game with 12 points and was named to the all-tournament team. Freshman Malia Ulery added eight points and senior Coy Smith chipped in six points. 
The win improved the Yucca Valley girls’ record to 6-2 on the season.

Their Desert Valley League opener is Wednesday at 6 p.m., when they travel to the league’s defending champion Cathedral City. The girls’ first home game of the season is Friday, December 13, when they host Desert Hot Springs.
