The City of Twentynine Palms has been recognized for its comprehensive annual financial report with a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The certificate, awarded by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada, represents the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. Among other things, per a press release, the award recognizes a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” in the city’s preparation of its latest financial report.
