“Wait Until Dark” will open with a gala benefiting the Kiwanis Club of Twentynine Palms. The Kiwanis International/UNICEF worldwide service project ELIMINATE will use funds raised to continue its efforts to stamp out MNT or Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus. Friday night April 10 the Theater Twentynine doors will open at 6:00 p.m. as hors d`oeuvres are served and silent auction item bids are taken. The curtain will rise at 7:00 p.m. and desserts will be served at the play’s intermission. “Wait Until Dark,” directed by Ben Bees, is a game of cat and mouse. A mysterious drug-filled doll goes missing as a con man lays a trap to ensnare a blind woman, proving what you can’t see, can hurt you. Tickets for the opening night only are $25. and can be purchased in Twentynine Palms at The Desert Trail Office, the Twentynine Palms Chamber of Commerce, or in Joshua Tree at the Z107.7 Studio.
“Wait Until Dark” will run five consecutive weekends from April 10 through May 9 on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7 p.m. with 2:30 p.m. matinees on Sunday April 19 and Sunday, May 3. Tickets for dates other than the opening night are $12 for regular admission, $10 for seniors and military and $8 for children under 12 and students with ID.
